Do I Have to Compete

No, you don't have to compete to "belong" at Unified Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Choosing to compete or not compete is an individual choice. Also, if you do not compete, it has no bearing on your future belt promotions. What to Bring to My First Class

Please bring shoes that are easy to slip on and off. We always wear shoes or flip flops off the mat. Also, you'll want to wear a comfortable shirt to wear under your Gi and shorts. Women often wear a fitted shirt and leggings under their Gi. Also, bring a water bottle. We have filtered water, but you will need your own bottle.
